ME = CT: Mark Evans is synonymous with computer technology in Greater Tampa Bay

Mark Evans Computer Technology (MECT) was created 20+ years ago by Chief Creative Scientist Mark Evans who has built an Angie’s List (A-Rated) company that is client-centered and solution-focused.

Mark operates MECT on the principle that, “There is no problem without a solution.” Reflecting his focus on problem solving, Mark has recruited and trained an expert team of Solution Engineers who repair, build, and upgrade computers, gaming systems, and smart phones in a laboratory environment.

The MECT focus on the customer begins with a personal consultation with a customer service, Problems Analyst, who is focused on understanding clients’ needs so that the solution is as cost effective and as quick as possible.
Clients are encouraged to visit the “laboratory” retail space where lab coat-draped team members repair hardware and custom build computers for all to see.

In addition to offering computer & cell repair, MECT provides Networking & IT, Custom Builds, Upgrades & Sales for clients ranging from small to mid-size businesses, home office, telecommuters, and gaming enthusiasts.

The MECT team prides itself on creative problem solving and presents clients with reasonable solutions that are determined by what is in the best interest of the customer. Mark Evans has been quoted as saying, “Excuses are not a substitution for a solution,” and his team’s performance mirrors his mantra.

MECT will create a Restore CD and data storage mechanisms like effective, tapeless backup solutions, Cloud based backup, and external storage devices.

MECT stocks a wide range of hardware to include hard-to-find parts and used/refurbished parts at substantial discounts.

Experienced ONLY Computer Tech

The ideal Candidate must be able to Repair, Upgrade any type of Desktop or Laptop and build computers.

Must be able to Network computers, windows server knowledge, and assist customers with computer sales.

Previous Computer SHOP & Onsite Experience is REQUIRED! You must be able to multi task in our very busy computer shop. Valid Florida driver’s license is required.

The Ideal Candidate Must Have the Following:

Must be able to QUICKLY Trouble shoot Hardware & Software for all makes and models of computers
Must have a valid Florida driver’s license for onsite service calls.
Requires independent thinking with little supervision or assistance
Must be able to configure Raid 0,1,0+1 and 5
Must be able to install/replace routers switches and hubs both wired and unwired
Tune up computers correct Virus/Trojan and Malware inflictions
Must have excellent Sales, customer Service and Communications skills
Must be able to work Saturday
Must be able to assist customers with New Computer Sales, Part Sales, and Refurbished Computer Sales
You must be able to do all of this proficiently. You must be able to honestly discuss and demonstrate your skill level.
